FINE® Total Knee System with BLEND-E®

Teijin-Nakashima Medical created a novel TKA implant design and selected a steady material, which restores the anatomical bony shape, decreases contact stress within the knee joint and expects antiaging effect. The tibial insert and patellar component was made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) that is blended with an anti-oxidant, vitamin E (dl-α-tocopherol), refer to as the BLEND-E®. These developments enable enhanced patient function and deep-knee flexion with providing strong potential for greater implant longevity, refer to as the FINE® Total Knee System.
